Both Wave 1 and Wave 2 APs offer 28 independent (non-overlapping) channels: three for the 2.4 GHz band and twenty-five for the 5 GHz band, including DFS channels. When you use the 2.4 GHz band in a high-density location, you encounter self-interference and channel saturation. Items 1 - 30 of 35 - Ubiquiti UAP-AC, UniFi 2.4GHz Indoor AP, 802.11AC, World. Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Having the POE is a big saver in time and effort. The software makes it easy to set up, do firmware updates, block certain users and to see who's on the WiFi Cons: I couldn't find anything negative to say about this WiFi

Works well, somewhat limited range compared to its big brother.4/21/2019 11:10:24 AM
Pros: If you already live in a Ubiquity universe, this thing adapts nicely. Good range, reliable operation, makes the vast majority of consumer all in one wireless routers (even the REALLY REALLY expensive ones with 24 antennas) look like the useless hackable trash they are. Cons: Be aware of the following: Ubiquity was originally in the 'professional' class of products, and have moved into the consumer area. Their products were originally only for professional installers who understood network topology and setup very well. Other Thoughts: I have a Ubiquity Edge small router and three APs (one of these, and two more powerful ones) and an isolated system where the IoT stuff I have (both wired and wireless) is isolated from the three machines that are for business use.
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Great AP for small home/office.1/29/2019 7:15:57 PM
Pros: -Small Cons: -Don't get the full Unifi controller experience unless you have all Unifi equipment. Other Thoughts: Bought this with a Unifi 8 port 150W POE switch and a Edgerouter X, everything works with no issues! Set up was super easy. Hope one day Ubiquiti will have all their equipment under on controller.
Nice Compact unit worked well after some confusing password setup issues.1/26/2019 10:15:43 AM
Pros: Includes its own POE injector & mounting plate. Cons: WPA only support not WPA2
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Received latest PoE version Cons: Controller did not see AP at first, had to mess with different versions of Java and disabling windows firewall to work. Other Thoughts: I will likely get more of these in the future
Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
Impossible to setup. Returning.10/7/2018 9:03:26 PM
Pros: None. Cons: Six hours of my Sunday trying to troubleshoot the setup, with no result. What a waste.
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Bar far the best AP I have ever deployed8/10/2018 5:00:06 PM
Pros: Fast and easy setup, and my clients are always happy with the results. I did receive the updated 802.3af models and was very satisfied with paring this with a NETGEAR 5-Port GS305P was perfect! Cons: Make sure what you get are the new updated models. Sometimes is better to pay the few extra bucks and order directly from the vendor, its a shot in the dark sometimes when purchasing these AP's. Other Thoughts: I only by Ubiquiti when deploying hotel WiFi and it has been amazing for the cost.
Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: It's one of those things you wonder why you waited before getting it. Especially the 5GHz devices are now flying. Cons: The Java dependency for the controller is annoying, but tolerable simply because the controller interface is so good. Other Thoughts: If you're in the market for an AP separate from your router then you probably know enough that setting this thing up is easy. I actually found it easier than other supposedly more consumer friendly systems.
